December Palmetto Bluff Wedding

Congratulations to Travis & Kristina Moran!

Their December wedding out at Palmetto Bluff was a bright, beautiful day. We love the deep burgundy flowers in Kristina’s bouquet and the fresh mix of blue tones for her bridesmaids dresses. Of course, her Martina Liana lace wedding gown stole the show! We asked Kristina to share a bit about planning her wedding, as well as what her favorite memories of the big day are:

What did you love most about your gown?

I loved everything, but the silhouette and the overall quality of my gown were my most favorite. I wanted something classic with a touch of sexy and I felt this gown was the perfect mix of both. The tailoring of my gown was perfect and the dress fit so well. The beautiful lace, design, and special details- such as the illusion back- made this gown feel so luxurious.

Share a memorable moment from your gown shopping experience:

I never once felt rushed during my shopping experience. I probably tried on 6-8 dresses and some of them twice, just to be sure. Never once did I feel like I was a burden or forced to make a decision quickly. I loved the fact that I could also describe what I liked or did not like about a certain dress and the sales associate would adjust my selections accordingly. She would only bring out dresses she thought worked for my vision. I also loved the selection of dresses. I was able to try on silhouettes that I wouldn’t normally be drawn to because there was such a wide variety of stunning gowns.

What was the most memorable moment from your wedding night?

The entire day and night was seriously a dream, but saying my vows in front of all our family and friends was definitely the highlight. The perfect Chapel setting with barely there décor- because it simply did not need it- overlooking the May River in Bluffton was a dream.

Anything else you want to share about planning your wedding or wearing your gown?

My gown was dramatic – the illusion back and extended train were just a few of the breathtaking details. However, the French bustle that was sewn into my gown was just as gorgeous. Not only did the dress look amazing bustled, but also the needlework was stunning and made the dress so comfortable and easy to move around in throughout the night that was filled with mingling and dancing. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect gown to compliment my wedding day and every bride should note that good tailoring is what makes a dress look like it was made for you.
