Our brides hold a special place in our heart, and Taylor is no exception. Not only are we lucky to call Taylor a GBC Bride, but a friend to the GBC team. Taylor has modeled for various photoshoots for us. She always has the best attitude and is absolutely stunning in front of the camera. We were so excited for her big day to arrive! The day was nothing short of p e r f e c t.

What were some of your "must haves" for your wedding dress?

Before trying on any dresses at all, I had no idea what I wanted! After trying on a few, I knew that I wanted something with lace, but not all lace, form-fitting and simple but not *too* simple. I wanted it to be romantic and beautiful, not too flashy or exaggerated - something timeless and that I would look back on and love forever.

Was your vision the same as the wedding dress you choose?

Yes! My dress completely fit with everything I loved about all of the individual pieces of dresses I had previously tried on. It is beautiful and clean with moments of interest and amazing textures.

What did you love most about your gown?

The train! It was amazing and something that I fell in love with as soon as I tried it on. I loved it from the very beginning!

How did you know you had found your wedding dress?

I knew I found my dress when I was so sure that none of the other dresses I had tried on made me feel the way I did in my dress. I would imagine myself in each dress and mine was the only one where I could see myself walking down the aisle in it. It was meant to be!

Most memorable moment from your wedding dress shopping experience:

The most memorable moment from my dress shopping experience was my mom's reaction to me choosing my dress. She was quiet the ENTIRE appointment and refused to give me her input on any dress I tried. So at the very end, when it was obvious I was about to pick my dress and I asked her opinion, she burst into tears because it was her favorite and she loved it! Now, you have to understand, this is the woman that told me "Don't be upset when I don't cry about any of this, it's just a dress" at the very beginning of my dress shopping experience, so that was a big deal and showed me even more that the dress was meant for me.

Most memorable moment from your wedding day:

The most memorable moment from our wedding day was our ceremony, both walking down the aisle to Dalton and reciting our vows to each other. Dalton is very much not a crier, and (like my mom) told me to not be surprised if he didn't shed any tears during the wedding. Well, so much for that warning because he was near close to sobbing when I saw his face at the other end of the aisle, and it was the most joyous and special moment. We also wrote our own vows and hadn't heard them from each other, so those were really sweet words that we got to share with each other that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Advice you would give to future brides about planning their wedding:

My advice to future brides that are planning their weddings is to remember the reason you're planning a wedding - the marriage. It is so easy to get caught up in it all and become stressed and anxious, but it's okay to say "no" and it's okay for everything to not be exactly how you imagined. The most important part of this day is celebrating the love you have for each other and everything else is simply a bonus.

Advice you would give to future brides about wedding dress shopping:

Forget everything you thought you wanted! Or, at least give the things you don't think you'd like the benefit of the doubt and at least try it on 🙂 There are SO many dresses, and this is the one time you're shopping for your wedding dress, so why not make the most of it and try them all on?! Take advantage of this time and listen to your heart and your thoughts before thinking about anyone else. This is a selfish time - it's okay to focus on what you love.
