If you follow the world of fashion at all, you know that Paris Fashion Week was underway last week and there are some majorly bridal looking gowns seen. What we mean is that these are not necessarily bridal, but can definitely inspire your couture bridal style!
1 – Blush + Ruffles. Obviously over the top for most brides, the elements in this Chanel Couture gown can translate into other gowns, such as this ruffled blush mermaid gown from Essence of Australia. Lily-Rose Depp sure does rock this style though!
2 – Illusion + sparkle. It’s starting to look like the illusion neckline is becoming much more than a trend. The lovely way the fabric easily floats on the body can be seen frequently on the runway and in bridal. This sparkly gown from the über talented Elie Saab is stunning! A look that can be comparable is this separates top from Martina Liana which mimics the glamour illusion seen in the Elie Saab’s.
3 – Drop waist A-line. This classic shape from Christian Dior got an update with a geometric pattern and flounce at the hem. Check out a similar shape from Jim Hjelm by Hayley Paige with this A-line gown with blingy details.
4 – Plunging Neckline. This stunning textured dress from Chanel Couture really stood out! The flattering shape really shows off the feminine physique and we love all the sparkle and texture around the neck. Our store carries a gown with similar features from Jim Hjelm by Hayley Paige, which also has a plunging v-neck and beading that will turn heads.
5 – Capes. On wedding gowns, capes can be such a cool feature! They can extend the train and add drama to your wedding dress. This particular one from Ralph & Russo inspired us, and made us think about our Jim Hjelm caped and floral printed gown. See for yourself!
We loved all these inspirations from Paris Fashion Week and can’t wait to see more like them soon on the bridal runway!
